For the Pie

  • 1 pack Ready-made pie crust You can also make a crust from scratch for better taste.
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk Use a 14-ounce can.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh lemon juice Fresh lemon juice is important for the zesty kick.
  • 1 lemon Zest of one lemon Fresh zest adds vibrant flavor.
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • to taste Whipped cream For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and blended.
  • Pour the lemon filling into the ready-made pie crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  • Let the pie cool at room temperature for around 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Serve topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh lemon zest and chill the filling before pouring it into the crust. A sprinkle of lemon zest or a sprig of mint can elevate the presentation.
