  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix Adds a creamy, zesty flavor.
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix Adds depth and richness.
  • 1 jar pepperoncini peppers Brings a tangy kick to the dish.
  • 0.5 cup butter Melts beautifully to enhance flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer.
  • In a bowl, mix the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix together.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Pour the jar of pepperoncini, including the juice, over the chicken.
  • Cut the butter into small pieces and place them on top of the chicken and seasonings.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Once done, remove the chicken from the pot and shred it using two forks.

Serving

  • Serve the shredded chicken with the sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or on buns.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
