Cooking

  • In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  • Add sweet onions and cook until they become translucent.
  • Stir in scallions, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

Mongolian Chicken is best served over rice or noodles. It can be paired with steamed vegetables and garnished with extra scallions for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
