Ingredients
  

Noodles and Sauce

  • 8 oz wide rice noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced

Preparation

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic to the beef and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce and beef mixture.
  • Stir in sliced green onions just before serving.

Notes

To serve, divide the noodles into bowls or plates. Top with extra sliced green onions if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water or soy sauce.
