  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to mix it up!

For the crust

  • 1 pre-made pie crust pre-made pie crust Makes the pie quick and simple.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bulk pork sausage until browned, about 6-8 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Sauté chopped onion, sweet red pepper, mushrooms, and minced garlic in the skillet until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs.
  • Combine the sausage and veggie mixture with the whisked eggs, add salt, pepper, and cheese. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the pre-made pie crust into a pie dish.
  • Pour the sausage mixture into the pie crust and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  • Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Customize with your choice of vegetables like spinach or diced tomatoes. For added heat, consider adding jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
