Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped mushrooms, Swiss cheese, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well until everything is combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake in the oven for 1 hour or until it is cooked through.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté the mushrooms and onions before adding them to the meat mixture. You can mix in other cheeses like mozzarella or cheddar for a different taste. If your mixture seems too dry, add a bit more milk to help it hold together. To store leftovers, let cool completely, then wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
