Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped Finely chopped for uniform texture.
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded Can substitute with cheddar or mozzarella.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced Finely diced for better mixing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping (optional)

  • Ketchup For topping before baking, optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped mushrooms, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish.
  • If desired, spread ketchup on top for added flavor.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped in plastic or aluminum foil in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Freezing is possible; store in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Tips: Use ground turkey/chicken for a lighter option, add herbs for flavor, and consider red pepper flakes for heat.
