Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced Choose ripe peaches for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Add more or less based on peach sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon You can add a sprinkle of nutmeg for variation.

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Drizzle over the top before baking.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Remaining sugar for batter.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of the sugar, and cinnamon. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then stir in the milk and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the batter over the peaches.
  • Drizzle the melted butter on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely, cover tightly, and refrigerate. Reheat in the oven before serving. For texture, sprinkle oats or nuts on top before baking.
