Ingredients
  

For the brownie layer

  • 1 box Brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the box)

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is softened before mixing.
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Crushed Oreo cookies Freshly crushed for extra flavor.
  • Whole Oreo cookies Optional, for topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on your brownie mix box.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and pour half into a greased baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in vanilla extract and gradually add all-purpose flour until well combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.
  • Spoon the cookie dough on top of the brownie layer and spread evenly.
  • Pour the rest of the brownie batter over the cookie dough, making sure it’s completely covered.
  • Add whole Oreo cookies on top if desired.
  • Bake according to the brownie box directions, typically around 25-30 minutes.
  • Let the dish cool completely before cutting into squares.

Serving

  • Slice into squares and serve with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel.
  • Enjoy with family or friends!

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened. Don’t overbake to maintain a fudgy texture. Allow to cool before cutting for easier serving.
