Ingredients
  

For the shrimp

  • 1.25 LB raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp garlic pepper
  • 1 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Chopped as needed parsley for garnishing

For cooking

  • 1 cube butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 pieces aluminum foil large enough to hold shrimp packs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (approximately 200°C). Spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
  • Rinse and dry the shrimp. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with garlic salt, garlic pepper, and old bay seasoning. Mix well to coat the shrimp.
  • Divide the shrimp equally among the center of the three foil pieces.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the garlic butter to each shrimp pack.
  • Bring the opposite sides of the foil up and fold them over. Roll in the remaining sides to close each packet securely.

Cooking

  • Place the foil packs in the oven and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the packs from the oven. Open them slowly to avoid steam. Top each pack with equal parts of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Close the packs again briefly to let the cheese melt.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve the shrimp foil packs directly from the oven for a fun and interactive meal.
  • You can place the packs on plates and let everyone open their own. Consider serving with crusty bread or over a bed of rice or pasta.

Notes

Make sure to seal the foil packets tightly to prevent any steam from escaping. You can add veggies like asparagus or bell peppers for a complete meal. Adjust seasonings to taste; cayenne pepper can be added for heat.
