  • fresh or frozen peaches Alternative to canned peaches.
  • granulated sugar Optional, if using fresh peaches.
  • brown sugar Optional for added sweetness.
  • cinnamon Sprinkle it over the cake mix for richer flavor.
  • nutmeg Sprinkle it over the cake mix for richer flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Pour the peaches into a baking dish.
  • Spread the cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  • Cut the butter into thin pieces and layer them over the cake mix.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Slow Cooker Method

  • Pour the peaches into a slow cooker.
  • Spread the cake mix over the peaches.
  • Pour melted butter over the cake mix.
  • Cook on high for 2 hours, then lower to warm until serving.

Notes
