Base Ingredients

  • 1 package Graham crackers Use whole sheets for the best structural base.
  • 1 cup Pecan halves Chopped nuts can be used for a different texture.
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar Packed brown sugar for better sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted butter recommended.
  • 1/2 can Sweetened condensed milk For richness and moisture.
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate recommended.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange a layer of graham crackers.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until combined.
  • Pour the butter mixture over the graham crackers, spreading evenly.
  • Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips on top.

Baking

  • Bake for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
  • Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Best served at room temperature. Pairs well with coffee or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for two weeks.
