  • 1 unit onion, diced Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 1 unit bell pepper, diced Choose red, green, or yellow for crunch.
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Provides earthiness.
  • 8 oz Provolone cheese, shredded Melts beautifully over the pasta.
  • 12 oz penne pasta Ideal shape for holding flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the beef and veggies.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for flavor enhancement.

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sautéing Beef

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula to ensure even browning. Cook until fully browned and drain excess fat.

Adding Vegetables

  • Add diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until softened, then add sliced mushrooms and cook down.

Seasoning and Combining

  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Then stir in the drained pasta and mix well.

Melting Cheese

  • Add shredded Provolone cheese to the pasta mixture and stir until melted and creamy.

Serving

  • Serve the pasta warm, optionally garnished with parsley for added color.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper or fresh herbs. Serve with a green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
