Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Save a cup of pasta water for later.

Sautéing Veggies

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and bell pepper, and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.

Adding Mushrooms

  • Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

Cooking Beef

  • Make a well in the skillet, add ground beef, and cook until fully browned. Season with salt and pepper.

Creating Sauce

  • Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir and allow to heat through for about 2-3 minutes.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

  • Drain the pasta and fold it into the creamy mixture. Add a splash of reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.

Finishing Touch

  • Add shredded provolone cheese and stir until melted and combined.

Notes
