Ingredients

  • 1 lb Steak Use your preferred cut of steak.
  • 1 tbsp Oil For cooking the steak.
  • 4 cups Fries Frozen or homemade, cooked to your preference.
  • 2 cups Cheese Use provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place steak in the freezer for about 45 minutes until firm.
  • Slice the steak into thin 1/8′′ strips.
  • Coat the strips in 1 tablespoon of oil and set aside.

Cooking

  • Cook fries according to package instructions or to your liking.
  • In a pan, cook the steak strips over medium heat until cooked through.

Assembly

  • Place cooked fries on a serving plate, layer with steak strips, and top with cheese.
  • Place under a broiler until cheese is melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.

Notes

For the best flavor, season the steak well before cooking. You can add toppings like grilled mushrooms, bell peppers, or even avocado for extra taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
