Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 1 can Pumpkin puree 15 oz can
  • 1 can Evaporated milk 12 oz can
  • 3 large Large eggs
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg

Topping

  • 1 box Yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, melted 2 sticks
  • 1 container Whipped cream For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with melted butter.
  • In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Assembling the Cake

  • Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture without stirring.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the cake mix.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire mixture.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool before cutting.

Serving

  • Serve warm or at room temperature topped with whipped cream.

Notes

Add a dash of vanilla extract to the pumpkin mixture for extra flavor. For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar by half.
