Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Fresh ginger can add extra warmth.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Cold butter, cubed Keep it cold for flaky texture.
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin puree Can substitute with fresh pumpkin.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream Can substitute with whole milk or sour cream.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Milk for glaze
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract for glaze

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • Add cubed cold butter to the dry mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gently stir in pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until just combined.

Shaping and Baking

  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Glazing and Serving

  • While the scones are cooling, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the slightly cooled scones.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

These scones pair beautifully with tea or coffee. Add a hint of cinnamon-sugar on top for extra crunch.
