  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 4 slices Bacon Crispy and golden brown
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup Adds sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For cooking
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste Add freshly cracked black pepper for extra flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim off the ends and cut them in half.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon slices until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel to drain.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, sauté the halved Brussels sprouts in a bit of bacon fat for about 8-10 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Drizzle the maple syrup over the Brussels sprouts and toss well.
  • Crumble the crispy bacon back into the skillet and mix with the Brussels sprouts.
  • Season to taste with salt and freshly cracked pepper.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Add chopped fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor. If preferred, roast Brussels sprouts in the oven at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes for a different texture.
