Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare them: chop the garlic and parsley, and juice the lemon.

Cooking

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes; sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they're pink and opaque.
  • Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice; let simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the shrimp over a bed of pasta or rice, spooning the buttery sauce over the top.
  • Garnish with extra parsley before serving.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. You can customize the sauce by adding more butter or a splash of cream for richness. This dish pairs well with garlic bread or a simple salad.
