  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained Make sure to rinse well to remove excess salt and preservatives.
  • 1 cup corn, canned or frozen and thawed Fresh corn can be used for added crunch.
  • 1 medium tomato, diced Use fresh tomatoes for better flavor.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped Can substitute with parsley or basil if preferred.
  • 1 whole lime, juiced Fresh lime juice enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine black beans, corn, diced tomato, red onion, and cilantro.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix well and serve with tortilla chips.

Notes
