  • 1.5 lbs ground beef Ground chuck is recommended for a juicier result.
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs Helps bind the mixture and adds texture.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the patties.
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell's French onion soup Provides a rich and flavorful base.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and half of the French onion soup. Mix thoroughly.
  • Shape the mixture into patties, about the size of your palm.

Cooking

  • Add a splash of oil to the skillet and place the patties inside. Brown them on both sides, about 4-5 minutes each.
  • Once browned, pour the remaining French onion soup over the patties.
  • Cover the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve immediately with gravy and your choice of sides.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in garlic powder or black pepper. Let patties rest before serving for juicier bites. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
