  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed Steamed until bright green
  • 1 cup cooked rice White or brown rice works well.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can substitute for cream of chicken or cream of asparagus.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For variation, try mozzarella or a cheese blend.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs Optional, for added crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  • If using, sprinkle bread crumbs on top for added crunch.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
