Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh shrimp for better flavor.
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets Adds crunch and packed with vitamins.
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms Button mushrooms preferred but can use other varieties.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil Provides a nutty flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt For seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adds umami flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and wash them thoroughly.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.

Cooking

  • Add the shrimp to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil, followed by the broccoli and mushrooms. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the soy sauce. Stir everything together and let it heat through for another minute.
  • Serve immediately over rice or noodles, if desired.

Notes

For a crispier texture, do not overcrowd the pan. You can fry in batches if necessary!
