Ingredients
  

Shrimp Mixture

  • 1 lb Chopped shrimp Use fresh shrimp or thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk Celery, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Fontina cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp Cajun spice Adjust to taste for more heat.

For Toasting

  • 12 slices Bread Best to use thicker slices like sourdough or baguette.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the chopped shrimp, onion, celery, garlic, cream cheese, Parmesan, Fontina, and Cajun spice until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture onto slices of bread.
  • Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mixture is bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm as an appetizer, optionally with cocktail sauce or a fresh squeeze of lemon.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, place them back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until warm and crispy. Customize with ingredients like bell peppers, scallions, or different cheeses for variations.
