Shrimp Mixture

  • 1/2 cup Fontina cheese, grated For that delicious melty goodness!
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun spice A hint of spice that ties everything together beautifully.

Base

  • 8 slices Toast or bread A sturdy base to hold all that delicious shrimp mixture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Chop the fresh shrimp, onion, celery, and garlic.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, add the chopped shrimp, diced onion, diced celery, minced garlic, cream cheese, grated Parmesan, Fontina, and Cajun spice.
  • Mix until everything is well combined.

Assembly

  • Spread a generous amount of the shrimp mixture onto each slice of toast, making sure it goes all the way to the edges.
  • Arrange the toasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider broiling the toasts for the last few minutes. Use fresh shrimp for more flavor, ideally wild-caught. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
