  • 2 pounds Beef round steak Tenderized
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 medium Carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For browning

Preparation

  • Tenderize the beef round steak.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and brown the steak on both sides.
  • Remove the steak and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add sliced carrots and cook for a few minutes.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the tomato sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for several hours until the meat is tender.

Notes

Store any leftover Slow-Cooked Beef Round Steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For serving, pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread and spoon some sauce over the beef for extra flavor.
