  • 2 lbs beef stew meat (cubed) Cut into even pieces for uniform cooking.
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz) Can be substituted with cream of celery or cream of chicken.
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the beef in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Stir to combine everything.

Cooking

  • Cook on LOW for 8 hours until the beef is tender.
  • Stir the stew before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with crusty bread or over rice. Pairs well with a green salad. For a spicy version, add black or cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 3 months.
