Baking the Cookies

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes before rolling them in extra powdered sugar.
  • Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
