Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade

  • 4 pieces pieces of chicken (legs or thighs)
  • 1 cup buttermilk Marinate chicken for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Breading Mixture

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Frying

  • Vegetable oil for frying

Marination

  • In a bowl, marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Prepare Breading

  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Remove chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  • Fry the chicken in hot oil for about 15-20 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with classic sides like coleslaw, mashed potatoes, or cornbread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
