Ingredients
  

For the Spaghetti Mixture

  • 200 g cooked spaghetti Leftover spaghetti works perfectly.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Adds warmth and depth of flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning A blend of herbs for aromatic touch.
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Essential for the gooey pull.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a lovely nutty flavor.

For the Sandwich Assembly

  • 4 slices thick-cut bread Hearty sourdough or country loaf recommended.
  • 2 tbsp butter Softened for spreading.
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese More cheese for a richer sandwich.
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley For garnish, optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, toss cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until evenly coated. Set aside.

Butter the Bread

  • Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of thick-cut bread.

Assemble the Sandwich

  • In a non-stick pan or griddle, place one slice of bread buttered side down. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, the spaghetti mixture, more shredded mozzarella, and finish with another slice of bread, buttered side up.

Grill Until Golden

  • Preheat the pan over medium-low heat. Cook the assembled sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip carefully and cook the other side.

Check for Melted Cheese

  • Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from heat and let it sit for a minute before slicing.

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm, optionally with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

To achieve a crispy texture, use medium-low heat while grilling. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
