Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Wings

  • 1-1.5 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, minced or grated
  • Cornstarch for coating
  • Sesame oil (optional)
  • Black pepper (optional)

For the Sauce

  • Soy sauce
  • Rice vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Chili garlic sauce (or other chili sauce to taste)
  • Cornstarch (for thickening)
  • Water

For Garnish

  • Green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds (optional) for garnish
  • Red chilies, sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

Marinating the Wings

  • Marinate the chicken wings in the marinade for at least 30 minutes, preferably in the refrigerator.

Cooking the Wings

  • Fry the chicken wings until golden brown and cooked through. Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a separate pan, prepare the sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients. Simmer until thickened.

Coating the Wings

  • Add the fried chicken wings to the sauce, coating them evenly.

Garnishing and Serving

  • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds (optional), and chilies. Serve hot.

Notes

If you have leftovers, allow the wings to cool down, place them in an airtight container, and store them in the refrigerator. They will be good for 3-4 days. For longer storage, you can freeze them. Make sure to wrap them well to prevent freezer burn. Adjust the spice by changing the amount of chili garlic sauce.
