Brine Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar This is crucial for the brine; it gives your avocados that tangy punch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • In a clean jar, layer the sliced avocados gently.
  • Sprinkle the chopped cilantro, sliced garlic, red chili flakes, and cumin on top.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, water, olive oil, salt, and sugar. Heat over medium heat and stir until dissolved.
  • Let the brine cool slightly.
  • Pour the warm brine over the avocado layers in the jar, ensuring all slices are submerged. Seal the jar tightly.

Chilling

  • Place the jar in the refrigerator and let it sit for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight.

Serving

  • When ready, take out the pickled avocados and serve them as a snack or topping for your favorite dishes.

Notes
