  • 2 cups Bell peppers (mixed colors) Red, yellow, and green for vibrant look.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For sautéing veggies and beef.
  • 1 splash Brandy Adds rich flavor.
  • 8 ounces Provolone cheese Melts beautifully for cheesy goodness.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.

Preparation

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil.
  • Slice the beef steak into thin strips, ensuring they are uniform in size for even cooking.
  • Season the steak strips generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet and let it sear without stirring for about 3 to 4 minutes until browned.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add more olive oil if necessary and sauté the sliced onions and bell peppers for about 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Add a splash of brandy to the skillet and let it bubble for a minute.
  • Return the cooked steak to the skillet, combining with the veggies, and let it cook for another couple of minutes.
  • Sprinkle the provolone cheese on top, cover the skillet, and let it melt.
  • Serve hot and enjoy the delightful aroma and flavors.

Notes

Let the meat rest for a minute before slicing to retain juices. Use fresh veggies for enhanced flavor. If desired, serve with green salad or roasted potatoes.
