Ingredients
  

For the Steak and Shrimp

  • 2 pieces Steaks (ribeye or sirloin recommended) Choose your preferred cut.
  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For searing the steaks.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Adds richness to the sauce.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced For flavor enhancement.
  • 1/2 cup White wine (optional) Enhances the sauce; can be omitted.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds color and a subtle flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the steaks.
  • as needed Chopped parsley for garnish Use fresh parsley for better flavor.

Preparation

  • Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper and let sit for about 15 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Cooking

  • Sear the seasoned steaks in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Remove the cooked steaks and let them rest on a cutting board.
  • In the same skillet, lower the heat and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and optional white wine, stirring everything together and letting it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  • Slice the rested steaks into thick strips.
  • Gently fold in the sliced steak into the creamy sauce and let it combine for a minute.
  • Serve the creamy shrimp and steak on plates, drizzling extra sauce on top.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider marinating the steaks in spices overnight for extra flavor. Allow shrimp to reach room temperature for even cooking. Add cayenne pepper for a kick. Serve with sides such as mashed potatoes or green salad.
