Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks or your preferred cut
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter adds richness to the sauce

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced brings depth and flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream can substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy option
  • 1/2 cup beef broth can use vegetable broth for a lighter option
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard adds a tangy balance
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce adds complex flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Generously sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of your steaks.
  • In a large skillet, heat up butter over medium-high heat.

Cooking the Steaks

  • Once the butter is bubbly, carefully lay the steaks in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Transfer the cooked steaks to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the beef broth and stir to scrape up browned bits stuck to the bottom.
  • Add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, then simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Spoon the garlic cream sauce over the cooked steaks and serve immediately.

Notes

Use room temperature steaks for better cooking. Don’t rush the searing process; the crust on the steak is essential for flavor. Garnish with fresh parsley for color and freshness.
