Instructions

Preparation of Steaks

  • Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Searing the Steaks

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on desired doneness.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.

Making the Garlic Cream Sauce

  • Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Let it melt and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, and sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Stir and simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combining with the Steaks

  • Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Serving It Up

  • Plate the steak, pouring the garlic cream sauce on top and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For perfect results: Don’t crowd the skillet when searing steaks, let them rest to lock in flavors, and adjust garlic according to taste. This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
