Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For marinating the chicken
  • Salt and pepper Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar Adjust according to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For thickening the sauce

Vegetables and Seasoning

  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional) Use fresh for more flavor
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For stir-frying
  • 1-2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinating Chicken

  • Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, salt, and pepper for at least 15 minutes.

Preparing the Sauce

  • Whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey or brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.

Stir-frying Chicken

  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok, add the marinated chicken, and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove chicken and set aside.

Cooking Vegetables

  • In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed, then add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it is tender but still crunchy.

Combining and Serving

  • Return the chicken to the wok, pour in the sauce, stir to coat everything evenly, and simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds, along with your choice of rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding bell peppers or carrots. Ensure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its color and crunch. Adjust sweetness of the sauce based on preference. Use fresh ginger for more aroma if desired.
