Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Also at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Mix in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips if using.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are great on their own, but you can serve them with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Slightly underbake for a chewier texture.
