Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef use lean ground beef for a healthier option
  • 8 oz noodles (ramen, lo mein, or spaghetti) choose your preferred noodle type
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen can be used
  • 1 carrot, julienned adds color and crunch
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil adds a rich flavor
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional) for garnish
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce can substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar adjust for desired sweetness
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp cornstarch for thickening the sauce
  • 2 tbsp water (slurry) to mix with cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced fresh is best for flavor
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated for added freshness
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions
 

Cooking the Beef

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Making the Sauce

  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and water. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Add the cornstarch slurry (mixed cornstarch and water) to the skillet. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 1–2 minutes.

Cooking the Noodles and Vegetables

  • In a separate pot, boil the noodles according to the package instructions. During the last 2 minutes, add the broccoli florets and julienned carrot.

Combining Ingredients

  • Drain the noodles and veggies and toss them into the beef mixture in the skillet. Mix everything well.
  • Drizzle the dish with sesame oil and top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds (if using).

Notes

Use fresh vegetables to enhance flavor and texture. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar or honey. For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
