Preparation

  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside, leaving the drippings.
  • Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until soft.
  • Cook the egg noodles or dumplings according to package instructions; drain when done.
  • Combine the cooked noodles or dumplings with the cabbage mixture in the skillet, adding the bacon back in.
  • Mix everything well and add butter to taste before serving warm.

Notes
