Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until soft.
  • Add zucchinis and yellow squash to the skillet, cooking until they become tender.
  • In a bowl, combine heavy cream, salt, and pepper.

Layering and Baking

  • Layer half of the zucchini and squash mixture in a baking dish.
  • Pour half of the cream mixture over it, then sprinkle half of the cheese.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  • If desired, top with breadcrumbs for added crunch.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
