Better-Than-Dominos Garlic Bread

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 French stick / baguette 1 French stick / baguette (~ 60cm / 2ft long)
  • 125 g 125 g / 1 US stick unsalted butter (softened) Ensure butter is softened for easy spreading.
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp fresh garlic (minced, ~3 – 4 cloves, pack the teaspoon) Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tsp 2 tsp finely chopped parsley (optional) Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 200C/390F.
  • Cut the French stick in half. Then cut the bread almost all the way through into 2cm / 4/5" thick slices.
  • Mix together the butter, garlic, salt, and parsley. Taste to see if it’s salty/garlicky enough for your taste.

Baking

  • Smear garlic butter over the cut side of the bread.
  • Smear remaining butter on the top and sides of the bread.
  • Wrap each bread in foil.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until the crust is crispy (check through the foil).
  • Unwrap and serve!

Notes

Best served warm. You can enjoy it straight from the oven as a side dish to your favorite pasta or pizza. This garlic bread also makes a great snack on its own. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
