Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with turkey or chicken.
  • 4 slices bacon Adds a crispy, smoky flavor.
  • 1 large onion, chopped Brings sweetness and depth.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For a sharp cheeseburger flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded Pepperjack cheese Adds a spicy kick.
  • 1 cup Bisquick Baking Mix Helps bind the pie together.
  • 1 cup milk Can be whole, low-fat, or non-dairy.
  • 3 large eggs Essential for binding the filling.
  • to taste salt and pepper Always season appropriately.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and crumble.
  • In the same skillet, add ground beef and chopped onions. Cook until beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth.
  • Stir in half of the shredded cheddar and Pepperjack cheese, crumbled bacon, and cooked beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Grease a pie dish and pour in the mixture.

Baking

  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown.
  • After initial baking, add the remaining cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.

Serving

  • Let the pie cool for a few minutes, slice into wedges, and serve warm.

Notes

Pairs wonderfully with a side salad or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days and are great reheated.
