  • 4 slices slices of bread Any type of bread can be used.
  • 4 large eggs Whisked and seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • 1 cup diced ham Cooked ham, diced.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or cheese of your choice.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • as needed tablespoons Butter For frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • In a skillet, melt a little butter and add the diced ham, cooking until it’s heated through.
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Pour the eggs into the skillet with the ham and stir until the eggs are fluffy and cooked.
  • Top each slice of toast with the egg and ham mixture, then sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Put the toasts under a broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed vegetables like spinach or bell peppers to the egg mixture. You can also experiment with different types of cheese, and for added heat, try adding diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving again.
