Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 15 oz jar Alfredo sauce
  • 16 oz pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese for topping
  • Dried parsley for garnish

Seasonings

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes adjust for spiciness
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray a crockpot with cooking spray.
  • Add one pound of chicken breasts to the crockpot.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
  • Add minced garlic, the marinara sauce, and the Alfredo sauce to the crockpot.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Shred or cube the chicken and add it back to the crockpot.
  • Stir in 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Boil 16 oz of pasta according to the directions on the box.
  • Drain the pasta and add it to the crockpot.
  • Stir well and top with shredded Parmesan cheese and dried parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spices the night before. You can add bell peppers or spinach for added nutrition. Use whole grain or gluten-free pasta for a healthier option. To store leftovers, let it cool, then refrigerate for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
