Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the bacon in the skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove bacon and place on paper towels to drain excess grease, leaving bacon grease in the skillet.

Cooking

  • Sauté the chopped onion in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute, avoiding browning.
  • Toss in the cabbage, mixing well with onions and garlic. Cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Crumble the cooked bacon and gently fold into the cabbage.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Serve warm directly from the skillet.

Notes

For crispier cabbage, increase heat before adding cabbage and cover the skillet for a minute.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days and reheated in a skillet.
